Tata announced the world's cheapest car, the Nano (with list price at $ 2,500, something around R $ 4,200-tax real) will an update with regard to safety after the sequence of models that took fire. The term recall, however, was not used.

Tata said it was verifying the accident. "The research done by professionals specialized domestic and international, concluded that the causes of the accidents in some Tata Nano are unique to each case," the manufacturer.

The Nano is designed to reach the Indian middle class, but sales of the cheapest car in the world are falling. It sold 3,065 units of the compact in October, but the company's expectation for 5520 was sold for the month in question.

The Indian business newspaper The Economic Times said on Wednesday that at least seven car accidents have been reported so far.

Sales of Tata Nano are dropping: 3065 units in October, against 5,520 in September (which was already not great.) Indians love gold, symbol of prosperity. Tata has decided to play it, with the help of one of its subsidiaries, the jeweler GoldPlus.

GoldPlus wishes celebrate 5000 years of Indian jewelry.

3 drawings of Nano decorations inspired by Indian jewelry are presented. Customers can vote for their favorite here.
The winning design will transcribed on a real Nano.
